New Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Reconstruction?

ANN is reporting that Japan’s got a brand new “Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Reconstruction” and of all people it could be that gets the new position it’s a Mangaka that’s well known to anyone who suffered the dark age of 2000s Anime on VHS and multi-volume DVDs Ken Akamatsu.

Seems Japan’s got a new tsundere loving bureaucrat; from what I’ve gathered from reporting, parliamentary Vice-Ministers only real function is in helping the Minister and Vice-Minister of their respective offices, but cannot act in place of the Minister in case of their absence.

Truly a waste of resources as you don’t really do anything, it’s the type of pointless bureaucratic theatre that makes no sense.

Now Akamatsu isn’t new to this political dog and pony show, Akamatsu has spoken out about changes to the copyright laws in Japan that could have negatively impacted Cosplayers and fan creations.

To be honest while I do agree that the possible copyright overhauls were an issue I feel the one thing he and I agreed on is the fact of the United Nation trying to tell Japan and other cultures how to run things.

While I still loathed his work such as Love Hina and Itsudatte My Santa; honestly I could rant about how over exposed Love Hina was back in the day, but I do have to thank Love Hina for giving me one of the few Anime characters with a Southern Accent [Mitsune “Kitsune” Konno]…truly weakness of mine.

God, I keep getting distracted, what was I talking about? Oh right the fact Akamatsu has a new position, hopefully the fact he’s now the “Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology” he’ll tell the United Nations to take their opinions, roll them up into a tube and shove it up their asses till their getting paper cuts up their throat.

Until next time
